On Monday, October 16, 2023 the City of Lock Haven declared a state of emergency based on the current water levels in the reservoirs. Along with the 20% voluntary reduction in water use previously requested, there is also a list of 10 prohibited non essential uses of water. Click on the link below to see the letter that outlines the prohibited uses of water for City of Lock Haven and Suburban Water Authority Customers. Currently this declaration is set to expire at 11:59 PM on Friday, December 31, 2023.
Due to minimal rainfall in 2023, Suburban Water Authority is asking that all residents and customers do their part in conserving water. We are recommending reducing water consumption by 10%.
Some examples of conserving water are to avoid letting faucets run, reduce showering times and frequency, use dishwasher or laundry appliances with full loads, avoid watering landscapes, and washing vehicles.

We ask that you conserve water whenever possible in your home and place of business. The Authority appreciates all of your voluntary conservation efforts.
